Hydraulics

Hydraulics is used to determine how a quantity of water will flow through a channel or floodplain. Hydraulic analysis combines: Flood hydrology, or discharges; Cross-section data on how much area there is to carry the flood; and stream characteristics such as roughness, slope, locations, and sizes of structures.
